One brand of cars today includes the popular name Isuzu. Isuzu Motors Ltd. is a Japanese car, commercial vehicle and heavy truck manufacturing company, headquartered in Tokyo. Isuzu started when Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd. and Tokyo Gas and Electric Industrial Co. cooperatively plan to build automobiles. This was done by a technical cooperation with Wolseley Motor Company (UK) is initiated. In 1922 the first Wolseley model A-9 car is domestically produced. The CP truck follows two years later.
It was in 1933 that Ishikawajima Automotive Works merges with DAT Automobile Manufacturing and changes its name to Automobile Industries Co., Ltd. A meeting then followed with the Ministry of Trade and Industry results in the renaming of the truck to Isuzu, after the Isuzu River. When Japanese cars finally entered the automotive market of the USA in the 1960′s, several other brands tried and succeeded in the land of the brave. During this year that Subaru, a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industry (FHI) of Japan, started its distribution in the US. Despite the unstable distribution of investments, the company still managed to produce high-end cars and Subaru parts. Today, there are already 10 cars that the FHI subsidiary had produced in the US markets. Nissan, Toyota and GM are the three big companies that have taken part in the stock investment of the FHI thus, partly having connection with Subaru automobiles. In 2006, Toyota bought the share of GM in the FHI prompting Toyota to build an assembly line for both Subaru and Toyota Camry in Indiana.
Subaru proudly advertises its advantages over other car brands. In one of its advertisements, it has stated a general yet distinct attribute of the company and their products. Boasting its Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive design in all of its models and the outstanding safety it fosters, Subaru has paved new possibilities that clients would certainly grab.
